Chump Change with Reverse Splits - Stock Trading [Low Effort]

How it works:

The person providing this service, Reverse Split Arbitrage (I’m going to call them RA for short), is a definite homie. I don’t want to steal their thunder so here’s the description for how it works and the twitter handle.

Requirements:

1. A brokerage account with $0 trades. Known ones that work are: Robinhood, Schwab, Webull, and/or Public brokerage account. There may be more, see RA’s substack for more details. You get a free stock if you use referral links for any of these. Non-referral links: Robinhood, Webull, and Public.

2. Okay with providing personal info like social security to brokerages in order to open an account.

3. Bank account.

Nice to have:

1. Subscribe to RA’s substack or follow RA on twitter (links in the first sentence).

2. Multiple Brokerage accounts, you can do it once per account.

Steps:

1. Download app and create a brokerage account, get ready to send some personal info.

2. When RA posts a stock, buy just 1 share before the close of trading that day.

3. Check your account the following days, it may take a few days. Your share will disappear, that’s okay! The company is doing some sort of finance magic or something and will give it back, usually in 1 to 2 days.

4. Once you get your share back sell it.

5. Profit.

Story so far:

12/10/2020: RA confirmed the trade also works on Public.

12/9/2020: RA confirmed the trade also works on Webull but NOT TD Ameritrade.

12/8/2020: I made $4.25 on 12/4, that was when I first learned about this. I purchased a share of VIVE for 51 cents on 12/1. Share went away next day and Robinhood had a message for me saying I’d get my share(s) back in 1-2 days. On 12/4 I got a full share and sold at $4.76. I got another notification in my twitter today so decided hey why not check this out again and bought 1 share of AYTU at 87 cents. I have no idea how often these opportunities are there, I figured I’d make updates each month and track this for a year, trying my best to do every trade when I can. I’m not trying to optimize when I trade or anything because frankly I don’t know how and it’s not my job to. I’ll post updates so folks know what to expect from this SSH.
